Job description
For the BI & Decision Support division we are looking for a talented PL1 developer. The consultant will share the daily operations responsibility with a dedicated team in Denmark. After an introductory phase of one or two weeks the consultant will become part of the Application Management Department. The consultant will be assigned to the maintenance and development of PL1 programs. The consultant must enjoy maintenance and operational work as it is expected that the position will include a combination of both. Thus the consultant must expect to be part of daily monitoring and be able to take shifts (from 4 to 12 hours, also during the night, when trained properly). The work also includes incidents, managing surveillance shifts on systems, and the daily operation. Company uses ITIL Service Management standards for daily operations (Incidents, Changes, Problems, etc.) The candidate will get at local mentor for day to day contact, training and coordination. The consultant will be among the first Polish nearshore resources within the BIDS Application Management Department. Thus the consultant is expected to work very closely with colleagues and business stakeholders from Denmark. It is expected that the division will grow its nearshore engagement in the future.
Short description
We are looking for an experienced PL1 developer who is technically strong. Strong analytical skills, exceptional communication and collaboration skills are crucial. Equally important is the ability to be versatile as the duties may increase or change over time. The consultant must find Maintenance and Operational work exciting as it is expected that the position will include a combination of both. The consultant must be able to work independently and must be able to facilitate the dialogue with various stakeholders in company to ensure progress of tasks. Experience on these skills are essential.
Must haves
Finance IT in at least 5 years
Knowledge on accounting systems
Banking experience
Excellent English skills
Experience within multi country, multi bank implementation.
Business understanding, banking area
Excellent analytical skills
Strong collaboration skills
Ability to follow-up Tool skills: PL/1, TSO/ISPF, DB2, JCL, OPC (TWS), Platinum, OPTIM, FILEAID, SQL server
Nice to have
Knowledge of either Danish, Swedish or Norwegian will be a tremendous advantage
